I've been pondering a new blog since I moved to Texas. I am living sort of "out", with the cows and rolling hills (there are a few in Texas). I really miss connecting with friends, not that I won't make new friends. It's just that, after living a military life, and moving again and again, and then again even after military life...I want some roots. My roots are you! I love connecting with you, hearing from you, pondering the Lord's works and wonders in our lives together, and struggling together, too. We were saved by grace...and Paul says to walk in the same way in which we were saved...so many times I want to muddy up the grace with my works, my religion, or even my guilt and shame. I read today that if we ask our Heavenly Father for bread, he will not give us a stone, and that even we know how to give good things to our children...how much more will He give to His. Such a simple message. I could sit and focus on the truth of that every day for the rest of my life, and if I lived by that I would be changed forever. He simply loves me. He simply wants to provide for my needs and care for me as He cares for the birds of the air. Ohhhh, help me stay here and remember the beauty and simplicity of being His child.
And so, Simply Grace is born. A place to figure it out, write it down, be heard. Hear others.
Feel free to post whatever is on your heart or mind. Respond to something written, or write something new to share with others. ...and may the grace of of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
Terri
I'm so excited for this Terri! I too wish I could sit
ReplyDeletein the simple faith that He loves ME! That is a
wonderful mind boggling concept to me. That He
would love me just as I am. May we all bask in
His love today and be forever changed
Miss you and pray you feel your roots begin to
deepen in Texas.
I'm excited too, it's not quite the same as sitting around my living room, drinking coffee and sharing our hearts, but it's still a great way to stay connected! Thanks for sharing!
DeleteHi Terri--I love your blog and I love the idea of staying connected this way too!! I'm experiencing His love in a new way as I start my new adventure at KLOVE--wow!! What an incredible ministry!! What an incredible group of people!! It's like joy is at every corner. It's like having been ushered into the Kingdom. Ephesians 3:20...it reminds me that I have no idea the plans that God has for me and for us. I would sell myself short...in fact I do sell myself short!! God is amazing and so are you, sister friend!! Can't wait to read more of your blog!!
ReplyDeleteMonika,
